COURSE DESCRIPTION
Hacking: Materials and Production Methods is an undergraduate elective course where the aim is to challenge and hack the conventional approaches to materials and production methods. The outcomes of these hacks are usually considered as prototypes, and not final products.
The motivation in this course is to investigate potential ways to expand the designers' tool set. Working as a research group, a pedagogical approach where students and the instructors work in collaboration and learn from each other is explored.
The course is supported by seminars by invited guests and field trips.

Attendance: Students who are absent in more than 2 classes will be considered to have failed.
Grading:
Each student will make two 10 minute presentations to his/her peers:
Presentation_1 [10%]
Presentation_2 [10%]
Each student is responsible for his/her contribution to the projects:
Participation in Projects [80%]
Each student is evaluated both by the instructor, and his/her peers.
